Beginning this Monday, August 6, Pastor Jeff will begin a week of prayer and discernment following the pattern outlined in a guide he developed for this purpose (available for download from our website – dates are from 2014). People who subscribe to the blog or have signed up to receive devotions will receive the devotions each morning. You are invited to join him in this time of prayer.

A Note on Prayer & Discernment

People of faith are drawn to continually seek God and grow in relationship with Him. Sometimes we have specific things we are seeking from God. Sometimes we just want to hear His leading.

This devotion is intended to build through the week. It is focused on listening leading to faithful action. If you only have a little bit of time, this style can suit you well if you read the Scriptures, the reflection, pray and keep the prayer focus in your mind and revisit it through the day. If you have more time to linger with the questions and journal this process will be even more helpful.
