I’m thrilled to welcome Jamie Donahue to Bethel as our summer intern. This really will be a different kind of internship. Jamie is a business and marketing major at Roanoke College. We talked a few months about her interest in having a summer internship and remaining in the Manassas area. I jokingly said “Hey … you should consider interning at Bethel!” To my surprise, she really did consider it. With her professor’s approval, she has now started working with us and will receive college credit for her experience with us. She even participated in our staff Red Nose Day picture.

Trust me … we won’t be asking Jamie to get coffee or mow the church lawn. We’ll be working with her to give her broad exposure to the church and its ministries. She’ll work with many different people and will be able to use what she’s learned in the classroom in the real-world environment of the church. I like this so much for her because the church, as opposed to a large firm, is smaller and she’ll be able to oversee projects from beginning to end. What a great experience for her!
Please join me in giving thanks for Jamie and praying that this summer will encourage and strengthen her as she prepares for her final year of school and whatever lies ahead.
