I learned today that Word Press has a daily challenge to write a blog given a specific prompt that they call #BLOGanuary. The prompt for January 22 is, “What is your favorite quote and why?”
I’ve got a number of favorites, but the following from Frederick Buechner has been in my mind a lot.
This quote reminds me that serving God and my neighbor taps into both my joy and pleasure in serving, and the importance of turning my eyes outward to be even more aware of the needs of those around me.
A good question for all of us is this, “What can I do today for the sake of another person that also brings me joy?”
